Why do you want to be student leader? I would like to be a student leader because it is the perfect opportunity to continue to be a part of growing our school community.
It will broaden my horizons and help me to be more active in the school. As I am coming to the end of my high school journey, I would like to take advantage of any opportunities I have been given and use them to support and encourage my peers and classmates, so that they can in turn, spread knowledge, care for others and achieve their best, creating a safe and inviting environment for the school. What are your top three strengths that would assist you in fulfilling this role? I think one of my greatest strengths is my strong work ethic.
I have a strong sense of duty to my work and always put in as much effort and energy as I can, getting my work done even in the face of difficult obstacles.Another strength I believe to be important is my creativity and ingenuity. I have the ability to see a situation from different perspectives and create a solution that best fits, something which can often be useful in organising events of any scale.I am very proud of my ability to communicate well to others. As an aspiring actress/performer, I feel comfortable presenting to large groups of people and don’t have a problem with public speaking, a vital part in being a school leader.
How are you currently demonstrating leadership in our school community? Since starting school here at Lakeside College in 2014, I have held a few leadership positions, including Music Captain and Hessel House Captain. Aside from these duties and responsibilities, I always look for any further ways I can help out around the school. I have attended many Open Days, engaging in school tours, musical entertainment and other activities. I have also helped out, where able, with the Primary School Musicals, assisting teachers in organising students backstage. .
