Through advanced technologies, people invented lots of convenience goods that have affected our life a lot. One of them is phone. Phone was developed from telephone. The first telephone was invented by Antonio Meucci, Alexander Graham Bell is also credited as the inventor of the first practical telephone. It made our communications easier from 1800s. From 1800s until now, it had developed a lot, from a big telephone, to a simple smart phone. From the use to call someone, to many uses like taking pictures and messaging. From the brand Nokia, to different brands. For example, Apple, Samsung and so on.
With the development of science and technology today, we have to say that smart phones have brought great convenience to our life. As already mentioned, our life cannot do without mobile phone. If you want to shop, you can easily open a mobile phone app. All kinds of goods, superb collection of beautiful things glance will appear. You can select what you want, and add them into the shopping cart, then pay money only, waiting to deliver to your house. If you want to go out to travel, open the map application such as google earth, the route will show in front of your eyes; if you went out and saw beautiful sceneries, you could immediately take pictures of it. You can also leave your wallet at home because most of the shops could WeChat Pay or Ali Pay, this decreased the risk of getting stolen. Moreover, people can read articles or newspaper online, this is very environmental friendly because people are cutting of less trees and save the environment.

After the decline in the price of mobile phones and the increasing demand for communication, the amount of the fixed phone has gradually declined, while the popularity rate of the mobile phone has risen rapidly. By 2016, the popularity rate of mobile phones in China was over 96 mobile phones per 100 people.
The efficient linkage between the Internet and smart phones is another major reason for mobile phones to become consumer goods. Like WIFI and phones are a set of goods that you should buy. From 2010 to 2015, the per capita disposable income of China’s rural areas rose from 5900 RMB to 11 thousand RMB, and the per capita disposable income of urban population rose from 19 thousand RMB to 32 thousand RMB, while the average price per mobile phones fell from about 2150 RMB in 2010 to about 1800 RMB in 2015. The average per capita disposable income per mobile phone price in urban and rural areas increased from 8.8 and 2.7 in 2010 to 17.8 and 6.1 in 2015, which means that the purchasing power of the residents has increased by more than one time. This latest survey shows that the number of smart phones will soon catch up with computers, and 87% of Internet users now own their own smart phone We can see that after a short time of releasing mobile phone, it soon caught up with the computer. It is possible to understand how fast the network behavior changes caused by the mobile phones.
However, this trend is not consistent across the region. In the Asia Pacific, Middle East/Africa and Latin America, the Internet consumers with smartphones have surpassed the computers; but European and North American smartphones still lag behind computers.

Research firm IHS Markit published a report estimated that the global smartphone ownership will grow by 50% in the next two years to 6 billion, with a total revenue of $355 billion. IHS Markit data shows that current smartphones and tablet computers have accounted for more than 60% of the smart connected consumer devices, compared with only about 17% in 2008. In 2016, the global number of smart phones was 4 billion, and it is expected to reach 6 billion in 2020.
IHS Technology director Ian Fogg said: “mobile innovation, new business models and mobile technology are changing every near market. Today, mobile devices and services are the core of people’s entertainment, business life and communication. Smart phones have replaced PC as the most important intelligent connection device.
With the growth of hardware sales, global consumer spending on mobile apps will increase to $74 billion in 2020, compared with $54 billion in 2016. In Africa, Middle East and Latin America, they will be the fastest growing areas of mobile app spending. In the global application market, Asia will still play the most important role, which will account for more than 50% of consumption expenditure.
IHS Markit also said that two services will be developed rapidly on. They are mobile payment and mobile messaging. IHS Markit predicts that in 2020, the number of smart phones based on device payment will exceed 5 billion, compared with 2.7 billion in 2016. Meanwhile, the number of messaging applications including WhatsApp will reach 7.5 billion by 2020, compared to 5 billion in 2016.
