Nowdays, drug abuse already become a big issue due to among teenagers. Their already been too much expose to the drug. Not only Malaysia have to through this problem. All countries have this problem especially Brazil,mexico. Teenagers need to know the effect of the addicted to the them self due to prevent their self to get into the world drug. First of all, the meaning of drug abuse is the habitual taking of illegal drugs.
The causes of drug usage among teenagers is influence from the people surrounding, lack of happiness and inspire from media. When teenagers of course that we want to make a lot of friend, but sometimes we just did not realize that people from surrounding will influenced us and make we changed. The problem is either we changed direction to become good or bad.
To be understand, teenagers is finding their identity. So when their mix with the drug addicted, their will start to trying drug due to people surrounding him take a drug either to have fun at the party or just for fun. Commonly their start to take drug when their already go a party with their friend and the last their will get stuck with the drug. Everytime their go the party their must to take drug to become more energetic. According to Farah Suhaimi (2018), 46 of teenagers has been arrested due to join a wild party at Jalan Regat Muzaffar Shah, Assam Kumbang.
In conlusion, causes of drug abuse popular among teenagers is influence from people surrounding . Next ,the causes of drug usage among the teenagers is lack of happiness. Teenagers get a lot of problem such as friends, money or some of them come from a broken family. When their have a problem their start to find their friends to be more happy and forget the problem for awhile, According to Watson ‘Marijuana’ is the most common drug used by teenagers it represented 34.9% , it the highest percentage from other drug (Next Generation Village,2015).
This is proof that they take drug such as weed for forget their problem and to be happy for awhile. Their did not care if they just feel the happiness only for moment but at least their feel the happiness with their friend . the teenagers who have problem with the money will be ‘ runner’ for the drug to get a fast money . it not undeniable, become a runner for the drug will make a lot of money but the teenagers will faced a big problem in future if their handcuff by police. To sum up, the causes of drug usage among the teenagers is lack of happiness. Lastly, inspire from media also the causes of drug usage among the teenagers due to technology now did not have a limitations. Teenagers can find or watch the video about the drug.
An example, the teenagers listen the video from artist that named by ‘Bob Marley’. As we know that Bob Marley famous with his smoke weed and he also said to the public that ‘smoke weed is nothing problem’. The proof is 45% of teenagers reach agreement with the statement that listen to music make marijuana seem cool, and the other 45% also start to allowed the statement that movie and TV show makes drug become no problem to them (PATS as cited in Partnership For Drug-Free Kids,2017). It shows that teenagers only need to watch and listen to the popular people to stuck in the world of drug. In the nutshell,inspire from media also the causes of drug usage among the teenagers. In conlusion, there are three causes that highlighted the causes of drug usage among the teenagers is influence from the people surrounding, lack of happiness and lastly is inspire from media.
We already do that the causes of drug usage among the teenagers , then we need to prevent more teenagers before too late. As a concerned community we should work together with the government to give exposure to the teenagers such as do a campaign, give a talk to student at secondary school due to effect abuse drug. We have to make sure that the future generation is clear from the drug.
