Man has, as it were, become a kind of prosthetic God. When he puts on all his auxiliary organs, he is truly magnificent; but those organs have not grown on him and they still give him trouble at times”. (Sigmund Freud) As said by Sigmund Freud “man has, as it were, become a kind of prosthetic god” what Sigmund means by this is that man has overcome the losses of birth defects to a certain degree, that mankind could be called prosthetic Gods. Although, mankind are considered prosthetic Gods man still hasn’t perfected the use of prosthetics, so even though prosthetics are a good way to deal with birth defects. man, still are nowhere near perfecting organs like the one who created man. If America were to legalize the sale of organs the negative outcomes would overthrow the positive outcomes because, it would exploit the poor, destroy altruism and diseased donations, increase the crime rate, and how the original donors may carry defect from the operation that may affect their bodies, minds, and lives.
