What are some of the players protesting about?Should Colin Kaepernick be allowed to play again?Background Information: This NFL movement started with Colin Kaepernick in 2016 when he decided to protest for racial injustice but obviously people don’t agree with Colin such as President Trump who has stated that any players or owners that support that movement should be fired. This topic slurred up so many conversations pretty much there are two different viewpoints on this topic from the research that I gathered up.
One way of seeing this topic is from the President Trumps view and people who agree with him saying that players who protest are being disrespectful not only to the flag but to our fellow soldiers who fought for our country and freedom which could be true in some people’s eyes. But then there is another way on seeing this topic and it’s from the players who protest such as Colin who started this movement and other coaches and staff members. They see it as fighting for your rights and following the first amendment of freedom of speech. Players are protesting for different reasons some for police brutality and racial injustice people agree with them as well not everyone is against them they feel like its their right to fight for what they believe in and shouldn’t be penalized for it. But there is a national anthem rule that the NFL put in that says that if you protest during the anthem you will be fined player, coach, staff member and others see it as not fair.
Players can choose to protest by not coming out of the locker room because of that rule they have in the league.
