In America’s history, guns always is a part of the country’s society. Citizens can use guns to protect thyself, protect country or hunt. Also the issue of Guns not only give citizens freedom, the issue still affect citizen’s Personal safety. In the United States, gun control is one of these tumultuous issues that has Entrenched. Some unverifiable data indicates?about 90% crime are linked guns. The government needs to make guns difficult to buy, and the law and law enforcement departments need to actually enforce their laws. The Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting occurred on December 14, 2012, in Newtown. A 20 years old man, names Adam Lanza, shoot 20 child in the school and 6 adult teacher.
A professor said: ” The killer had Asperger’s syndrome and as a teenager suffered from depression, anxiety and obsessive-compulsive disorder “. In my opinion, If the murderer has a psychological problem, why can he still have enough ammunition and guns to kill a total of 26 people?In the United States, if a person wants to have a gun, the process is very simple. California needs 21 years of age to buy alcohol and cigarettes, but they allow people to have guns under 21.
If the government thinks people can’t manage themselves before the age of 21, how can they think that people can manage guns before they are 21? The second is that the government should limit the number of guns and ammunition owned by a person. When a person has a large number of guns and ammunition, it has become a danger to citizen safety. The third is that the government should raise the age of gun buyers to 21. Just like buying alcohol and cigarettes.
