Some examples would be, have a smoke alarm, if cooking stay with the food that you are making, don’t plug too many cords into one extension cord, and even just making sure your heaters filter, (or dryer), isn’t plugged up for a long time. Also very important, keep matches and lighters away from children at all times. Also stay low during a fire, breathing or inhaling smoke form a fire can cause heart, lungs, and respiratory problems. If you don’t stay low, you could breathe in lots of smoke, which may can cause inflammation in your lungs, and airways, causing swelling to block oxygen.
As soon as you are out of the building, call 911 for help. If the clothes on you on you, or even your skin, stop, drop, and roll. It might just save your life.Fire safety saves lives, whether inside your own home, a friend, a family member, even a foe’s home. A fire can even be in your environment.
