English words are not pronounced as they are written as happens in phonetical languages, the English sound is totally different from the written words. While communicating with a native foreign person or a native English speaker, we should always consider that no one is used to thinking of words as they are written but the way as they sound.

We all know that “… while without grammar very little can be conveyed, without vocabulary nothing can be conveyed” (Wilkins, 1972) but how the vocabulary knowledge can become someone’s restriction to express his/ herself? the answer is: ‘mispronounciation’.Pronunciation problems can have various rationales like, not being in the exposure of second language, different sound and spelling system in L1 and L2, and so on.

Unfortunately, until 1980, the pronunciation was one of the most unfocused areas in linguistics. Brown (1991) stated that between 1975 until 1988 just 94 out of 1420 English teaching journals investigated pronunciation. After a while, researchers started to investigate on pronunciation error factors that affecting the foreign language learning process which helped English teachers a lot in detecting errors and preventing to be fossilized in EFL learners.
