CHAPTER 3RESEARCH METHODOLOGY This chapter presents the methods that will use in the study. It includes research design and data about selection of respondents, instruments and procedures, data collection and analysis, supplies and materials, tools and equipment, construction and procedures, construction time frame and cost of materials.3.1 Research Design This study uses experimental research approach where the researchers are able to test their hypothesis and can comes up with a conclusion. According to (Macin, n.
d.) “Experimental research designs are the primary approach used to investigate causal (cause/effect) relationships and to study the relationship between one variable and another.” In this approach, the researchers wants to construct a machine that will Prolong the Shelf Life of Eggs Using Ultrasonic Treatment by experimental research. The effectiveness of the study will contribute to agriculture especially to the poultry farmers that will be the sole beneficiary of the research. 3.2 Selection of Respondents”Respondents are those persons who have been invited to participate in a particular study and have actually taken part in the study” (Given, 2008). Though respondents may vary based on the approach, it is important to choose the respondents according to the research to improve and enhance the effectiveness of the study. In this research, respondents are chosen based on the study.
Ten (10) respondents are gathered from 3rd and 4th District of Laguna that own and/or works in a poultry farm. The researchers make sure that the respondents have enough knowledge in the field of egg industry. The effectiveness of this study will be a great help to the respondents.
