Bullying is becoming an increasingly important problem for parents, school administrators and teachers, and it affects our society at large. Bullying is not only physical but can also be emotional using methods such as mobbing and cyberbullying which is its worst form. In this essay, I will be discussing why and how bullying should be stopped. Victims of bullying have spoken about how bullying affected their school experience, causing them to withdraw from their families and friends because they believed those negative comments are true. Not only that, most victims end up miserable and antisocial. Studies say that, those who bully are most likely insecure themselves, so they physically and verbally hurt others, in order to feel powerful and meaningful.Tormentors usually disturb others to feel powerful but how do you help a bully overcome this habit? Bullies are most likely to have problems at home, that are causing them to let it all out on other kids in school. Investigating the child’s home may help you find out what the problem is.
Giving the child some help or therapy is effective too. As a parent, you need to set a good example to your kids and talking to them about what happened at school is helpful. But why should bullying be stopped?Bullying has its levels of severity, but nevertheless they’re all vital. When a child picks on another child, it must be stopped before it grows worse. Bullying is usually vital when your child is in high school, where they are slowly shifting into an adult.
Most victims claim that the worst time of their life was their high school experience, where they were called names, got picked on, shoved into walls and got injured. Many teenagers that have committed suicide did so because the bullying was so extreme. Bullying adds pressure to the person and distracts them from their studies. Bullies should be stopped from an early age and taught that bullying is selfish and has many negative effects on others.
In conclusion, bullying is wrong. It’s never ok. It’s never cool. It doesn’t fell nice when you bully other . You always have a choice. Be the person that is smart enough and confident enough to be friends with everyone you meet.
By doing so, you’re sending the message that you’re self-assured enough not to care what others may think. “Be the Change You Want to See in the World” -Ghandi
