Askari Bank Ltd is a commercial and retail bank in Pakistan and is owned by Fauji Foundation. Askari Bank was incorporated in Pakistan on October 9, 1991, as a public limited company. It commenced operation on April 1, 1992, and is principally engaged in the business of banking, as defined in the Banking Companies Ordinance, 1962.
The Bank is listed on the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) and was also listed on the stock exchange of Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad before entering in the Pakistan Stock Exchange. Since inception, the bank has concentrated on growth through improving service quality, investment in technology and people, utilizing its extensive branch network which includes Islamic and agricultural banking.Askari bank offers all types of loans car, home and credit card. Loan is extended to customer after his due diligence and after reviewing his creditability that whether he will be able to repay the loan or not. Usually the loans are securitized and have some terms and conditions related to interest, tenor of repayment, monthly installments etc.
