Located in north-central Nepal, Annapurna region includes one peak over 8,000 meters, thirteen peaks over 7,000 meters and sixteen peaks over 6,000 meters. The region is 55 km long and is bounded by the Kali Gandaki Gorge on the west, the Marshyangdi river on the north and east and by Pokhara valley in the south. At the western end, the region encloses a high basin called Annapurna Sanctuary. This region is a gateway to equally lovely places. The famous Annapurna circuit trek, Annapurna Sanctuary trek, Jomsom Muktinath trek and the royal trek are some of the most hiking and trekking trails within the Annapurna region which serves the panoramic view of the green paddy fields, rich forests, hot springs and glacial regions.Offering an incredibly diverse scenery, high spectacular mountains, and lowlands, Annapurna region shows us the scenery of major mountains and Himalayan regions such as Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, Annapurna I, Machhapuchhre, Nilgiri, Tukche peak, Annapurna south and many more.

Annapurna Region is considered as a trekking paradise with numerous trekking and hiking opportunity. About two-thirds of the trekkers of Nepal visit this region.
